The Kids Garden Club is an excellent way for children to learn about nature and how to grow their own food. It’s a fun, active, and educational way to spend time outdoors, and it’s a great way to make new friends. If you have a child who loves nature, I encourage you to sign them up for the Kids Garden Club today!
In addition to learning about gardening, kids in the club will also have the opportunity to get their hands dirty. They will help to plant seeds, water plants, and harvest vegetables. They will also be able to participate in fun activities, such as nature walks and gardening games.
In the Kids Garden Club, children will learn about:
- The different parts of a plant
- How to plant seeds
- How to water and care for plants
- How to harvest vegetables and fruits
- How to cook with garden-fresh ingredients
- The importance of pollinators and other wildlife
This year we planted Eggplant, Tomatoes, Peppers, Raspberries, and Brussels Sprouts!
We have the pleasure of having Master Gardner Princess Rahman as our instructor. The Club meets every other Saturday through September 30th.
